Antimicrobial Discovery, Novel Diagnostics, & Bacterial Pathogenesis

Advancing the fight against infection through
basic research
The Research Laboratory of James Kirby is located in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated academic teaching hospital. Our broad goals are to advance the fight against infectious diseases through development of novel antimicrobials, elucidation of how bacterial pathogens cause disease, and development of next generation diagnostics.
